The first pixel electrode includes first and second sides parallel to a side of the pixel area; third and fourth sides respectively extending from first ends of the first and second sides, inclined with respect to the first and second sides and parallel to each other; and fifth and sixth sides parallel to each other, and connecting the second and first sides with the third and fourth sides, respectively. An acute angle between each of the third to sixth sides, with respect to the first and second sides, exceeds about 135 degrees.
