The female terminal is positioned in the terminal housing and has a terminal body into which a complementary male terminal may be inserted and extracted. The holding protrusion projects from the terminal body in a direction orthogonal to inserting and extracting directions, and is press-fitted in the terminal receiving terminal housing.
