The medical image display apparatus includes a display, a distance specifying unit, an image selector and a display controller. The distance specifying unit specifies a distance of a user to the display. The image selector selects, from the plurality of X-ray images, two X-ray images with an angular difference determined based on the distance of the user. The display controller displays the selected two X-ray images on the display for stereopsis by the user.
