The battery cell includes a battery case, an electrode assembly located in the battery case, the electrode assembly comprising a cathode, an anode, and a separator disposed between the cathode and the anode, an electrolyte present in the battery case, the battery case being sealed at a perimeter thereof, and a frame coupled to the perimeter of the battery case, the frame having a venting guiding portion at the perimeter of the battery case, such that sealing of the battery case is released through the venting guiding portion when internal pressure of the battery cell increases, the venting guiding portion comprising a reduction in the amount of material of the frame in a predetermined location at the perimeter of the battery case. A battery cell module is also provided.
