Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and device used for the digital detection of transparent and opaque documents, comprising a CCD pick-up element (17), a document holder (5), an illuminating device (6, 19, 20) and elements for covering the edges (masking unit (10, 11, 13)) of the documents. The method comprises the following steps: a) placing the document on the document holder; b) determining the size of the document; c) automatically adjusting a zoom objective (18), assigned to the scanner, in relation to the document; d) automatically adjusting the masking (11, 13) to the document size; e) beginning the exposure process; f) automatically adjusting the illumination by determining the dynamic range of the image intensity; g) exposing the CCD chip in the camera (one shot); h) memorizing the digitized data in a PC memory; i) further processing the memorized data in the PC or in an external data processing installation.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for automatically inserting documents for displaying on a display device and/or for copying in a digitisation device, such as microfiches, microfilm jackets or similar, which are conveyed one at a time from a holding magazine for a stack of documents to be processed to a document support and from there, to a deposit magazine for the processed documents. According to said method, the top document of a stack of documents in the holding magazine is drawn upwards by suction, approximately to the level of the document support, the remaining stack then being retained in the magazine by suction in the opposite direction. The document that is drawn up by suction is transported to the document support sideways and deposited on said document support by terminating the suction effect. After processing, the document is once again drawn by suction and transported to the deposit magazine.
