    Abstract: Systems (100) for establishing electrical interconnections for helmet- mounted devices are disclosed. A system for establishing an electrical interconnection for a helmet-mounted device is comprises a first interconnect mechanism (110) coupled to one of a helmet and the helmet-mounted device, and a second interconnect mechanism (160) coupled to the other one of the helmet and the helmet-mounted device. The first interconnect mechanism (110) comprises a first frame (120), a biasing member (140), a plurality of first electrical contacts (130), and a first projection (150). The second interconnect mechanism (160) comprises a second frame (170), a plurality of second electrical contacts (180), and a second projection (190). As the first interconnect mechanism (120) is moved toward the second interconnect mechanism (160), the contact between the first projection (150) and the second projection (190) causes rotation of the first frame (110) in a direction opposite the predetermined rotational direction.

    Abstract: An optical device includes a housing enclosure, a lens cell holder mounted to the housing enclosure by a retainer, a lens assembly mounted to the lens cell holder such that the lens assembly is configured to translate in an axial direction; and a radial space defined between the lens cell holder and the retainer that is sized to accommodate adjustment of the lens cell holder and the lens assembly in a radial direction with respect to the housing enclosure. A method of adjusting a line of sight of the optical device includes (i) positioning the lens assembly against the housing enclosure; (ii) adjusting the radial position of the lens assembly until a pre-determined line of sight requirement is achieved; and (iii) fixing the lens assembly to the housing enclosure of the optical device to preserve the radial position of the lens assembly with respect to the housing enclosure.

    Abstract: The devices and systems disclosed herein improve on existing weapon system control handles, by replacing complicated spring and cam components with a gauge shaft. The use of a gauge shaft eliminates unnecessary part-complexity and extra assembly labor. The use of a gauge shaft increases operational response and accuracy while decreasing cost and weight of weapon system control handles. Moreover, the gauge shafts can be readily repaired or replaced, reducing the overall costs of maintenance associated with damaged weapon system control handles. In alternative embodiments, a disk gauge is used in place of gauge shafts.

    Abstract: A method of processing a double sided wafer of a microelectromechanical device includes spinning a resist onto a first side of a first wafer. The method further includes forming pathways within the resist to expose portions of the first side of the first wafer. The method also includes etching one or more depressions in the first side of the first wafer through the pathways, where each of the depressions have a planar surface and edges. Furthermore, the method includes depositing one or more adhesion metals over the resist such that the one or more adhesion metals are deposited within the depressions, and then removing the resist from the first wafer. The method finally includes depositing indium onto the adhesion metals deposited within the depressions and bonding a second wafer to the first wafer by compressing the indium between the second wafer and the first wafer.
