Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing 4,4′-bis(2-benzoxazolyl)stilbene and, more specifically, to a method for economically preparing fluorescent 4,4′-bis(2-benzoxazolyl)stilbene with high purity, which is used as a fluorescent whitening agent useful for almost all plastics and films, such as polyester, polyamide, polyethylene, polycarbonate, acryl, polypropylene, polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride, and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, synthetic fibers, and synthetic rubbers.
