Abstract: 본 발명은 푸코스테롤의 퇴행성 신경질환 치료의 신규 용도에 관한 것으로, 자세하게는 푸코스테롤을 유효성분으로 포함하는 퇴행성 신경질환의 예방 또는 치료용 약제학적 조성물 및 건강기능식품에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 푸코스테롤은 α-세크레타아제(α-secretase)인 ADAM10의 발현을 효과적으로 증대시킬 수 있으므로, 이를 유효성분으로 포함하는 본 발명의 조성물은 아밀로이드 베타(Aβ) 펩티드 생성 억제 효과가 우수하여 알츠하이머와 같은 퇴행성 신경질환의 예방 또는 치료(개선)를 위한 약제학적 의약품, 기능성 식품 등에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다. 특히 본 발명의 푸코스테롤은 천연물로부터 유래된 물질로서, 세포독성 없이 안정성을 가지므로, 이를 유효성분으로 포함하는 본 발명의 조성물은 인체에 부작용 없이 장기적 사용에도 안전한 이점을 가진다.

Abstract translation: 本发明涉及一种用于治疗神经退行性疾病的岩藻甾醇的新用途，更具体地，涉及包含用于预防或治疗神经变性疾病的作为活性成分的岩藻甾醇的药物组合物和功能保健食品。 本发明的岩藻甾醇可以有效地增加作为α-分泌酶的ADAM10的表达。 因此，含有作为活性成分的岩藻甾醇的本发明的组合物具有抑制淀粉样蛋白β（生产）肽生产的优异效果，因此可有效地用于药物，功能性食品等中，用于预防 或治疗（减轻）神经变性疾病如阿尔茨海默病。 特别地，本发明的岩藻甾醇衍生自天然物质，没有细胞毒性，并具有稳定性。 因此，作为活性成分的含有岩藻糖醇的本发明的组合物具有长期使用安全的优点，不会对人体造成副作用。

Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel use of fucosterol to treat degenerative nervous diseases and, specifically, to a pharmaceutical composition and a health functional food including fucosterol as an active ingredient for preventing or treating degenerative nervous diseases. The fucosterol of the present invention can effectively increase the expression of ADAM10 which is α-secretase. Accordingly, the composition of the present invention which includes the same as an active ingredient has an excellent effect in controlling the formation of amyloid beta (Aβ) peptides so that the composition can be usefully used for a pharmaceutical product and a functional food for preventing or treating (alleviating) degenerative nervous diseases. The fucosterol of the present invention is especially a material derived from a natural material so as to have stability without cytotoxicity. Thus, the composition of the present invention which includes the same as an active ingredient is advantageously safe without causing side effects in the human body even after used for a long time.

Abstract translation: 本发明涉及岩藻甾醇治疗退行性神经疾病的新用途，具体涉及药物组合物和包含岩藻糖醇作为预防或治疗退行性神经疾病的有效成分的保健功能性食品。 本发明的岩藻甾醇能够有效地增加作为α-分泌酶的ADAM10的表达。 因此，包括与活性成分相同的本发明的组合物在控制淀粉样蛋白β（Aβ）肽的形成方面具有优异的效果，使得该组合物可有效地用于药物产品和用于预防或 治疗（减轻）退行性神经疾病。 本发明的岩藻甾醇特别是衍生自天然材料的材料，以具有无细胞毒性的稳定性。 因此，即使长时间使用，本发明的包含与活性成分相同的组合物也是安全的，而不会在人体内引起副作用。
