Abstract: A back light unit and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) are provided to maintain uniform luminance over the entire display area and improve the light-emitting efficiency of the back light unit by removing a color filter from the LCD. A back light unit(100) includes a plurality of light-emitting elements(115), an aperture plate(120), a lens sheet(130), a hologram device(140), and a cylindrical lens sheet(151). The plurality of light-emitting elements are arranged in an array on a base substrate and project light forwardly.
