Abstract: PURPOSE: A composition containing eriodictyol compounds or salt thereof is provided to suppress osteoclast differentiation by RANKL and bone absorption. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing or treating bone diseases contains eriodictyol compounds of chemical formula 1 or salt thereof as an active ingredient. The bone diseases include osteoporosis, rachitis, malacosteon, rheumatic osteoporosis, degenerative bone diseases, bone metastatic lesion, or periodontal diseases. A health functional food for preventing or treating bone metabolic diseases contains the compound of chemical formula 1 or salt thereof as an active ingredient.
