Abstract: An ascorbic acid derivative coupled with peptide for maintaining whitening effect is provided to increase whitening effect by suppressing the tyrosinase enzyme activity in cells and melanogenesis. An ascorbic acid derivative coupled with peptide of the chemical formula (I) is prepared by reacting (a) an ascorbic acid of which a hydroxyl of 5- and 6-positions is protected and a hydroxyl of 3-position is activated by introducing carbonyl diimidazole, and (b) 2-5 amino acids. The peptide is synthesized on link amide resin or 2-trichloride resin.
