Abstract: PURPOSE: A marker for distinguishing Panax ginseng and Panax quinquefolius is provided to distinguish ginseng having excellent pharmacological efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A marker for distinguishing Panax ginseng and Panax quinquefolius comprises one sequence of sequence numbers 1 to 10. A primer for distinguishing the Panax ginseng and Panax quinquefolius comprises a one sequence of sequence numbers from 11 to 13. A method for distinguishing the Panax ginseng and Panax quinquefolius comprises: a step of isolating genome DNA from a sample; a step of performing PCR reaction and amplifying target sequence; and a step of identifying amplified product.
