    Abstract: Provided is a method for preparing a silica-polyaniline core-shell composite, which allows mass production of core-shell nanoparticles, enables production of core-shell composites having different thicknesses, and permits an ultrathin conductive coating on the surface of nanoparticles. The method for preparing a silica-polyaniline core-shell composite comprises the steps of: dispersing silica nanoparticles into an aqueous solution to perform surface modification of silica into an anionically charged surface; adding hydrochloric acid dropwise into an aqueous solution to provide HCl solution, and introducing aniline monomers thereto under agitation to form cationically charged anilinium ions; mixing the silica particles with the anilinium ions under agitation to allow the anilinium ions to be adsorbed on the silica surface through positive charge-negative charge electrostatic attraction; adding an oxidant dropwise to the mixed solution to perform polymerization of the anilinium ions adsorbed onto the silica surface under room temperature for several hours, and thus forming a polyaniline thin film on the silica surface; and separating and recovering the resultant core-shell nanoparticles through centrifugal separation.

    Abstract: A method for preparing water-dispersible polyaniline nanoparticles is provided to produce polyaniline nanospheres which have good storage stability and dispersibility in an aqueous solution and form films having less surface roughness and high electroconductivity. A method for preparing water-dispersible polyaniline nanoparticles includes the steps of: dissolving styrenesulfonate, which is a water-soluble monomer having a negative charge, in an aqueous solution; adding an acid to distilled water to prepare an aqueous acid solution, thereto adding an aniline monomer, and stirring the admixture to form an anilinium ion having a positive charge; mixing the anilinium ion-containing aqueous solution with the aqueous styrenesulfonate solution, and stirring the mixture to produce a complex compound by positive-negative charge electrostatic attraction between the styrenesulfonate monomer and anilinium ion; and adding an initiator and an oxidant to the mixed solution, and preparing water-dispersible polyaniline nanoparticles while polymerizing the styrenesulfonate.
