Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for controlling p53 activation in a cell or tissue using p53 and AIMP2 is provided to function as a positive regulatory factor by directly binding to p53. CONSTITUTION: A method for suppressing p53 ubiquitination in a cell or tissue is performed by administering: a polypeptide (a) having an amino acid sequence of sequence number 1; a polypeptide having 70% or more amino acid homology with the polypeptide (a); or a nucleic acid encoding the polypeitide (a) or (b) to the cell or tissue. The nucleic acid has a base sequence of sequence number 3 or 4.
