    Abstract: A method for preparing swine placenta extracts using lipase and protease and a health food comprising the same are provided to reduce contamination in a production process and to increase the content of a bioactive substance by adding lipase and protease to the swine placenta. A method for preparing swine placenta extracts comprises the following steps of: pulverizing frozen swine placenta 2-5mm in size; adding water and lipase to the pulverized swine placenta such that the swine placenta reacts with the lipase at 39-45°C for 5-10 hours; adding an emulsifier to the reaction liquid and agitating the liquid to collect a first supernate; adding the water and protease to the residue so that the residue reacts with the protease at 28-40°C for 12-20 hours; obtaining a second supernate from the residue; and mixing the first and second supernates.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A composition containing Cervi parvum cornu extract is provided to suppress gastric acid and colony formation of Helicobacter pylory. CONSTITUTION: A method for extracting Cervi parvum cornu comprises: a step of extracting powder of Cervi parvum cornu using ultra sonic wave with chloroform:methanol (2:1) at 30 minutes; a step of centrifuging the extract at 15 °C, 500 x g for 30 minutes to separate supernatant and precipitate; a step of collecting supernatant (organic layer); a step of concentrating at 0.5 bar to obtain 20 mg of oil soluble powder of Cervi parvum cornu; and a step of maintaining at -20 °C.

    Abstract: A composition comprising the extract of Lophiomus setigerus or chondroitin sulfate isolated therefrom is provided to reduce the production costs by using inexpensive fish, inhibit infectious diseases derived from animals such as pig and cow, and improve effects of liver protection, lipid metabolism and anti-inflammation. A composition for protecting cartilage articulation comprises the extract of Lophiomus setigerus hard bone or cartilage containing chondroitin sulfate having an average molecular weight of 52,000 dalton, wherein the chondroitin sulfate contains 19-21 parts by weight of chondroitin, 61-63 parts by weight of chondroitin sulfate C, 15-17 parts by weight of chondroitin sulfate A, 0.5-1 parts by weight of 2,4-chondroitin sulfate and 0.1-0.3 parts by weight of 4,6-chondroitin sulfate. A method for preparing the extract of Lophiomus setigerus hard bone or cartilage comprises the steps of: (a) adding a decomposing agent and buffer solution to dried powder of Lophiomus setigerus hard bone or cartilage to decompose them; (b) precipitating proteins and nucleic acids produced in the reaction solution by using trichloroacetic acid and removing them; and (c) removed reaction solution and drying the protein and nucleic acid-removed reaction solution, wherein the decomposing agent is subtilisin. A method for isolating and purifying the chondroitin sulfate comprises the steps of: (i) dissolving the extract of Lophiomus setigerus hard bone or cartilage in distilled water and adding quaternary ammonium salt to form a precipitate composite; and (ii) solubilizing the precipitate composite with strong salt, and reprecipitating the solution with organic solvent.
