Abstract: PURPOSE: A supplement solution for diagnosing tuberculosis and lung cancer is provided to maintain sputum and nucleic acid of infectious microorganism for a long time. CONSTITUTION: A supplement solution for diagnosing tuberculosis and lung cancer comprises a 10-40 weight parts of buffer, 5-40 weight parts of alcohol, and 0.01-2.5 weight parts of protease for dissolving mucus of sputum. The buffer is acetate buffer solution, citrate buffer, lactic acid buffer solution, and their mixture. The protease is proteinase K, pronase, trypsin, ficin, pepsin, chymotrypsin, aminopeptidase, calpain, t pectin, or their mixture.
