Abstract: PURPOSE: A platinum thin-film and a method of manufacturing a platinum thin-film using electro-deposition are provided to increase the generation of hydrogen since the platinum thin-film is used as the counter electrode of a photoelectrochemical cell. CONSTITUTION: A method of manufacturing a platinum thin-film using electro-deposition is as follows. Chloroplatinic acid(H2PtCl6xH2O) is melted in the distilled water of deposition reactor, and thus aqueous electrolyte is manufactured. A support is dipped in the aqueous electrolyte of the deposition reactor, and the support comprises a reference electrode, a counter electrode, and a working electrode. Voltage is applied to the working electrode, and thus platinum is electrodeposited.

Abstract: PURPOSE: The separating film of a water-ethanol mixture and a method for fabricating the same are provided to eliminate water from the water-ethanol mixture based on the superior selectivity and transmittance. CONSTITUTION: The separating film of a water-ethanol mixture includes the 5:5 ratios of polyvinyl alcol99 and polyvinyl alcohol88. A cross-linking agent for the separating film includes glutaraldehyde and polyallylamine hydrochloride. The amount of the glutaraldehyde is between 0.2 and 0.3 weight%. An inorganic material is additionally included in the separating film and is based on TiO_2 particles or TiO_2 paste.
