    Abstract: Nitrobenzoyl-3-cyclopropylaminoacrylates of formula (I) are prepd. by (a) reacting a nitrobenzoylester cpd. of formula (II) with alkylorthoformate in the presence of anhydrous acetic acid to obtain nitrobenzoyl-3-alkoxyacrylate of formula (III), and (b) reacting (III) with cyclopropylamine. In the formulas, R= methyl, ethyl or propyl; X= Cl, F or Br; R'= ethyl. Cpds. (I) are useful intermediates in the preparation of antibacterial quinolone derivatives.

    Abstract translation: 式（I）的硝基苯甲酰基-3-环丙基氨基丙烯酸酯是制备的。 通过（a）使硝基苯甲酰酯cpd反应。 式（II）与无水乙酸存在下的原甲酸甲酯反应，得到式（III）的硝基苯甲酰基-3-烷氧基丙烯酸酯，和（b）使（III）与环丙胺反应。 在式中，R =甲基，乙基或丙基; X = Cl，F或Br; R'=乙基。 CPDS。 （I）是制备抗菌喹诺酮衍生物的有用中间体。

    Abstract: Benzoyl acetic ester derivs. of formula (I) are prepd. by halogenating 4,5- dihalo-2-nitrobenzoic acid of formula (II) and reacting the obtained intermediate with alkylmalonate under reflux in the presence of metal alkoxide. In (I), R= methyl, ethyl or isopropyl; X= F or Cl. Pref. the halogenating agent is thionylchloride, phosphorous trichloride or phosphorous pentachloride. Cpds. (I) are useful intermediates in the preparation of antibacterial quinolone derivatives.
