Provided are a receiving apparatus, a receiving method, a phase tracking apparatus, and a phase tracking method of a pulse-based UWB wireless system, which are capable of tracking and compensating phases of signals modulated with different modulation schemes in the same pulse-based UWB receiver system. The receiving apparatus of the UWB wireless system includes an orthogonal channel generating unit for receiving a baseband signal to generate orthogonal channels, a boundary detecting unit for receiving output signals of the orthogonal channel generating unit to detect boundaries of preamble, header and payload signals, a phase tracking unit for tracking and compensating phases of the preamble, header and payload signals output from the boundary detecting units, and a demodulating unit for demodulating output signals of the boundary detecting unit and the phase tracking unit to output data bits.
Abstract:
A receiving device of a pulse type ultra wideband wireless system, a receiving method thereof, a phase tracking device, and a phase tracking method are provided to track and compensate the phases of signals with different modulation methods by using the device with the same structure. An orthogonal channel generator(300) receives a baseband signal and generates an orthogonal channel. The boundary detector includes a correlator and a despreader. A phase tracker(320) tracks the phase of thee preamble, the header, and the payload signal outputted from the boundary detector. The phase tracker receives the signal outputted from the boundary detector and compensates the phase by multiplying the conjugate complex numbers of the phase tacked result. A demodulator(340) demodulates the signal outputted from the phase tracker and outputs the information bit.

본 발명에 따른 초광대역 무선시스템의 수신장치는, 아날로그 신호를 수신하여 디지털 신호로 샘플링하는 아날로그/디지털 컨버터와; 상기 아날로그/디지털 컨버터에 입력되는 직렬 데이터를 M : N의 병렬 데이터로 전환하는 직렬/병렬 컨버터와; 상기 N개의 병렬 데이터를 정합 필터링하는 정합필터뱅크부와; 상기 정합필터뱅크부의 출력을 터너리 코드와 상호상관하여 출력하는 상호상관기뱅크부와; 상기 상호상관기뱅크부에서 출력된 신호를 입력받아 터너리 코드의 시작 경계를 검출하는 프리앰블 경계검출부와; 상기 상호상관기뱅크부에서 출력된 신호를 입력받아 다중경로 위상 및 진폭변화를 산출하는 다중경로 프로파일 산출기와; 상기 정합필터뱅크부의 출력을 입력받아 확산코드를 이용하여 역확산하는 역확산부와; 상기 역확산된 값을 입력받아 펄스의 위치와 위상을 결정하는 데이터 복조부를 포함하는 점에 그 특징이 있다. 본 발명에 따른 초광대역 무선시스템의 수신 장치 및 그 방법은, 병렬 구조의 낮은 시스템 클럭을 사용함으로써 저전력화가 가능하고 정밀한 신호 획득 및 동기를 맞출 수 있으며, 채널 변경에 따른 수신장치의 변경없이 기저대역의 신호를 수신할 수 있다.

A receiving device and a receiving method of an ultra wideband wireless communication system are provided to obtain a signal precisely and match the synchronization by using a low system clock with a parallel structure. A serial to parallel converter(201) samples a serial data signal to n parallel data signals and outputs the sampled signal after converting an analog signal to a pulse signal of a digital signal. A matched filter bank part(202) matches and filters the n parallel data. A correlation bank part(203) correlates the output of the matched filter bank part with the ternary code and outputs the correlated value. A preamble boundary detector(204) receives the signal outputted from the correlation bank part and detects the start boundary of the ternary code. A multipath profile calculator(208) receives the signal outputted from the correlation bank part and calculates the multipath phase and amplitude change. A data demodulator detects and demodulates the multipath phase and amplitude change by using the outputted parallel data signal.

PURPOSE: A sampling apparatus and a method thereof in a wireless telecommunication system is provided to obtain as same sampling effect as the high-speed sampling, even using a low-speed sampling device by a method of inserting a delay unit for delaying with a predetermined value into a signal receiving process. CONSTITUTION: A delay unit(510) delays a received signal to a block unit. A delay route selector(520) controls the delay unit for selectively applying a plurality of delay paths to the each block. A sampler(530) implements the sampling on the block delayed by the delay unit. A signal processing unit(540) merges two or more sampling blocks sampled by the sampler. A timing tracking unit(550) tracks a received timing using the merged signal. The delay routes are generated independently for the predetermined delay values.

PURPOSE: An automatic gain control method and a receiver thereof are provided to maintain a stable reception status in the various radio environment by regularly maintaining the gain of an impulse signal inputted with ADC. CONSTITUTION: The variable gain amplification unit amplifies the gain of an impulse signal received. A quantized value is outputted by processing a quantization about the impulse signal with an amplified gain. Statistical information is generated by using the quantized value. The gain control width is determined based on the statistical information. The amplifying gain of the variable gain amplification unit is adjusted based on the gain control width. The frequency band of the received impulse signal is transformed to the base band. The matching filtering process between the quantized value and the digital impulse signal is operated.

PURPOSE: An automatic gain control device using effective reception structure of an ultra-wide band wireless communication system based on an impulse signal and a method thereof are provided to control receiving gain steadily by optimizing receiving state making low the gain after configuring the gain as the maximum value in early state of reception. CONSTITUTION: A matching filter(300) secures SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio) of a received signal through an analog circuit unit(100). A comparison unit(600) compares the maximum correlation value according to an output result of an adding unit(500) with preset one or more critical value. Based on determined attenuated gain result of the comparison unit, a gain controller(700) configures or changes a gain value of an LNA(Low Noise Amplifier)(120) and a VGA(Variable Gain Amplifier)(150) of the analog circuit unit.

본 발명은 자동이득 제어방법 및 이를 수행하는 수신장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에서, 수신장치는 수신되는 임펄스 신호를 아날로그 디지털 변환부에서 양자화하여 출력하는 양자화 값의 통계정보에 기초해 이득 조정폭을 결정한다. 그리고, 결정된 이득 조정폭에 기초해 가변이득 증폭부의 증폭이득을 제어한다. 임펄스, 수신장치, VGA, 자동이득제어, 이득
