Abstract: 본 발명은 광증폭기의 이득 및 이득 평탄화 제어 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 수신한 광신호를 피드백 광신호 루프를 통해 증폭하여 출력하는 제 1 증폭부, 제 1 증폭부로부터 출력된 파장의 광신호를 입력받아 파장에 따른 이득 기울기를 변경시키는 고정 이득 평탄화부, 및 이득 평탄화부의 출력 광신호를 피드백 광신호 루프를 통해 증폭하여 출력하는 제 2 증폭부를 포함한다. 이를 통해 본 발명은 광증폭기에서 파장다중화 입력 광 신호의 채널수가 변화하더라도 이득과 이득 평탄화가 자동으로 조정되는 효과가 생성된다.

Abstract: A device and a method for controlling a gain of an optical amplifier and gain flattening are provided to extend a dynamic range in which a gain is automatically controlled, through a two-stage amplifier structure, and to obtain a gain and automatically control the gain at the same time by using WDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexing) signals input from the whole region of a C-band. A device for controlling a gain of an optical amplifier and gain flattening is composed of a first amplification unit(310) for amplifying a received optical signal and automatically controlling a gain through a feedback loop; a fixed gain flattening unit(320) for receiving the optical signal amplified in the first amplification unit and outputting the optical signal after changing a gain according to a wavelength; and a second amplification unit(330) for amplifying the optical signal output from the fixed gain flattening unit and automatically controlling a gain through the feedback loop.
