Abstract: An apparatus for generating a device driver specification based source code is provided to generate a source code for various drivers automatically by analyzing a device driver through a specification language. A driver specification storage unit(20) stores a device driver specification in a device driver specification language, and a specification editing unit(30) edits the device driver specification. A specification driver unit(50) translates the device driver specification with a source code. The device driver specification language includes basic driver information, device information, file cooperation information and bus-related operation information.
