    Abstract: PURPOSE: A combined two-dimensional and three-dimensional imaging system and a converting method thereof are provided to display a two-dimensional image as well as a three-dimensional image by converting the three-dimensional image into the two-dimensional image. CONSTITUTION: A combined two-dimensional and three-dimensional imaging system includes an imaging device(c), a convex imaging mask(b), and a concave imaging mask(a). The convex imaging mask(b) is adhered on the imaging device(c) in order to display three-dimensional images. The concave imaging mask(a) is formed on the convex imaging mask(b) in order to convert the three-dimensional images to two-dimensional images. The convex imaging mask(b) increases focal distance to infinity. The convex imaging mask(b) is formed with one of a lenticular plate, an integral photography plate, a crossing lenticular plate, and a rectangular lens plate.
