Abstract: 본 발명이 이루고자 하는 기술적 과제는, 태그로부터 수신할 응답메시지에 추가될 추가데이터의 종류 를 지시하는 응답 포맷을 포함하는 형태의 명령메시지를 전송함으로써 추가데이터를 위한 부가적인 통신이 필요없는 RFID 리더 및 태그의 통신방법을 제공하는데 있다. 본 발명에 따른 RFID 리더는 태그에 대한 명령메시지를 전송함에 있어서, 태그에 전달할 명령의 종류를 나타내는 명령어코드, 태그로부터 수신할 응답메시지에 추가될 추가데이터의 종류를 지시하는 적어도 하나 이상의 비트를 포함하는 응답 포맷 및 태그를 식별하는 식별자를 포함하는 형태의 명령메시지를 생성하여 전송함으로써, 태그가 이에 대한 응답메시지를 통해 추가적인 데이터를 즉시 전송할 수 있도록 한다.

Abstract: A passive tag including a volatile memory is provided to increase the lift span of the passive tag and secure stability of important data. A passive tag communicating with an RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) reader includes a sensor(100), a nonvolatile memory(130), a volatile memory(120), a controller(110), a power supply unit(140), a power management unit(150) and a power receiving unit(160). The sensor senses or measures information on the region in which the tag is located. The controller temporarily stores data sensed or measured by the sensor in the volatile memory and moves the data stored in the volatile memory to the nonvolatile memory according to a predetermined condition. The power management unit measures the intensity of an RF signal received by the power receiving unit, and supplies the RF power received from the RFID reader and the power of the power supply unit to the tag.

Abstract: A device and a method for detecting wakeup burst in an active RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) tag are provided to reduce power consumption of the active RFID tag by activating the active RFID tag based on the wakeup burst detected from a signal, which is received from an RFID reader, when the RFID tag starts communication. A trigger signal generator(110) generates trigger signals continuously at predetermined intervals by responding to an input signal received from an RFID reader, and a counter(120) is activated by receiving one of the generated trigger signals and counts sub burst of the input signal while the trigger signal is kept. A comparator(130) detects whether the input signal is wakeup burst depending on matching between a counted value and a predetermined reference value. A wakeup signal generator(140) generates a wakeup signal when all values counted while each trigger signal is kept are matched with the reference value. A reset unit(150) disables the trigger signal generator and the counter when the counted value is different from the reference value.

Abstract: A device and a method for managing power of a passive tag are provided to use a battery embedded in the passive RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) tag when an RF power level is insufficient to drive the passive RFID tag by measuring intensity of an RF signal received from an RFID reader. A power supply unit(100) supplies driving power of an RFID tag according to a predetermined control. A power receiver(110) receives an RF signal from an RFID reader. A power manager(120) measures intensity of the received RF signal, and supplies the driving power to the RFID tag by using the power output from the power supply unit or the power induced from the RF signal depending on the control corresponding to a measurement result. The power manager measures a voltage level of the received RF signal, and a controller(130) enables the power manager to supply the power induced from the RF signal when the measured voltage level is higher than a predetermined level capable of driving the RFID tag. The first received command from the RF signal of the RFID tag is used to measure intensity, and the second received command is used to communicate with the reader.

Abstract: A mobile RFID reader and an RFID communication method using shared system clock are provided to implement a technology for preventing a collision between readers in a mobile multi-reader environment by using shared clock for RFID. A mobile communications part(610) produces the clock synchronization signal in a specific pattern of the down-link frame broadcasting from the base station. An RFID reader unit(650) shares system clock with other mobile RFID readers through a system clock is synchronized with the clock synchronization signal. An interface unit(630) delivers the clock synchronization signal to the RFID reader unit from the mobile communication unit. A specific pattern of a frame includes the information informing a beginning of the specific burst or a beginning of a frame of a down-link frame. After sharing system clock with the other mobile RFID reader, the RFID reader unit generates a time slot for the RFID communication with the tag based on the clock synchronization signal.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for storing data sensed by a tag are provided to store data sensed or measured by a sensor while minimizing power consumption according to a power supply environment. An apparatus for storing data sensed by a tag includes a sensor(110), a volatile memory(120), a nonvolatile memory(130), a controller and an interface(100). Abstract: A communication method for the RFID is provided to obtain a response including desired data without a separate command from an RFID reader. In case a received random value does not collide with the identifier of the other tag communicating with an RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) reader, the same value as the received random value is allocated as the identifier of an RFID tag(S402,S403).
