Abstract: A device and a method for eliminating gas from cooling and heating water is provided to prevent air locking and corrosion of a pipe by installing a heating unit in an expansion tank and heating up cooling and heating water. A device for eliminating gas from cooling and heating water comprises a cooling/heating circulation system, an expansion tank(20), an intake pipe(32), a heating unit(40), a gas eliminating valve(80), and a discharge pipe(34). The expansion tank stores cooling and heating water. The intake pipe is connected with the cooling/heating circulation system and induces cooling and heating water from the cooling/heating circulation system to the expansion tank. The heating unit heats up cooling and heating water stored in the expansion tank. The gas is separated from the cooling and heating water in the expansion tank. The gas eliminating valve discharges the separated gas. The discharge pipe supplies cooling and heating water from the expansion tank to the cooling/heating circulation system.
