Abstract: Trimmable conformable wound dressings, kits containing the same and methods of using the same. The wound dressings may protect a treatment site from microbial contamination or other disturbances while a wound heals or to enable the application and maintenance of vacuum over the treatment site. The wound dressings may include first and second sections of support layer material on opposite sides of one or more intermediate sections of support layer material. The first and second sections of support layer material meet the intermediate sections of support layer material along peel tab junctions that provide peel tabs.

Abstract: The disclosed medical dressing includes multiple adhesives. A first adhesive can strongly secure to the medical device, while a gentle adhesive secures to skin. Therefore, the medical device is secure, while the skin is in contact with a gentle adhesive. Selection of the adhesive, as well as the positioning of the adhesive on the medical dressing disclosed result in a medical dressing that effectively secures a medical device to a patient, while gently securing to skin.

Abstract: The disclosed wound dressing assembly includes an absorbent body with removeably attached tape strips partially secured to the absorbent body for a simple and efficient way to provide for securement of an absorbent body while also making tape strips readily available for additional securement needs. Abstract: Medical articles comprising a conformable wound dressing and delivery system. The wound dressing generally comprises a backing having a first major surface and a second major surface, an adhesive on the second major surface of the backing, and an absorbent pad proximate the second major surface of the backing. The backing extends beyond the perimeter of the absorbent pad, typically beyond the entire perimeter of the pad. The perimeter of the wound dressing has a concave feature that exhibits a local minimum. An axis extends from the local minimum to the perimeter of the wound dressing opposite the local minimum. The carrier overlies at least a portion of the backing on each side of the axis but does not overlie the backing along the axis. The wound dressing is especially designed for use on round or irregular shaped body parts, such as an elbow or heel.

Abstract: A viscoelastic wound closure dressing. The dressing can include a viscoelastic backing having a first major surface configured to face skin when in use, a first end, a second end, and a middle section located between the first end and the second end. The wound closure dressing can further include a skin-contact adhesive on the first major surface of the viscoelastic backing adjacent the first end and the second end. A majority of the first major surface of the middle section can be free of the skin-contact adhesive. The viscoelastic backing can recover, at room temperature: (i) no more than 40% of its deformation after 10 seconds, after being strained to 50% elongation for 30 minutes, and (ii) at least 70% of its deformation after 48 hours, after being strained to 50% elongation for 30 minutes.

Abstract: A conformable wound dressing system that includes a wound dressing and a dressing support layer. The wound dressing includes a backing having two major surfaces and a perimeter that includes first and second lateral edges, an adhesive disposed on one major surface of the backing and the dressing support layer removably mounted on the other major surface. The dressing support layer includes juxtaposed first and second sections that define a gap between them. Each section comprises a medial portion and at least four spokes extending therefrom toward a lateral edge. The at least four spokes include two outer spokes and at least two spaced-apart inner spokes. At least two of the at least four spokes of each section extend beyond the lateral edge to form peripheral support layer tabs.
