Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for performing consecutive conditional handovers. A cellular base station may provide conditional handover information for multiple conditional handovers to a wireless device. The conditional handover information may include information for performing a conditional handover from a cell provided by the cellular base station to at least one cell, and information for performing a conditional handover from one or more of those cells to at least one cell. The wireless device may perform multiple consecutive conditional handovers using the conditional handover information.

Abstract: The techniques described herein may include solutions for using downlink control information (DCI) to indicate dormancy for secondary cells (SCells). For DCI without a specific field for indicating dormancy for SCells, one or more fields of the DCI may be repurposed to report SCell dormancy. Repurposed fields may be arranged according to radio resource control (RRC) configuration information, a most significant bit (MSB), a least significant bit (LSB), and/or one or more bits being directed to specific SCell dormancy with one or more other bits being directed to SCell group dormancy, subsets of SCells, and/or a pre-defined rule. These and many other features and examples are described herein.

Abstract: Systems and method are provided for determining access link direction beams for smart repeaters (SMRs). An SMR may be configured with a set of SMR transmission beam indicator (TBI) state (SMR-TBI State) configurations. The SMR-TBI State configurations in the set respectively comprise an SMR-TBI State identifier (ID), a cell index, and a reference signal associated with a beam for an access link between the SMR and a user equipment (UE). The SMR may receive, through a backhaul link from a base station, an indication of one or more active SMR-TBI States. For at least one of the one or more active SMR-TBI States, the SMR may forward a signal between the base station and the UE using the beam associated with the reference signal in a corresponding SMR-TBI State configuration.

Abstract: An approach to reduce the signaling overhead for tracking reference signal (TRS) configuration signaling to idle and inactive user equipments (UEs) operating in a wireless communication system. Conventional signaling approaches require more bits that can be conveyed in the maximum system information block (SIB) message size. One proposed approach optimizes the signaling by removing unnecessary or redundant information, using a single TRS configuration to replace multiple configurations, size reduction in some fields, and the sharing of some fields across different TRS configurations. Another proposed approach uses an SIB message to carry the TRS configurations for a particular beam or subset of beams. These two proposed approaches may be combined to provide further optimization possibilities.
