The invention relates to a herbicidal composition comprising a herbicidally acceptable carrier and/or surface active agent and, asactive ingredient, a synergistically effective amount of (1) at least one compound of formula I in which R , R , A, m and n are as defined in claim (1); and (2) at least one additional herbicidal compound, which is active against broad-leaved weeds and/or annual grasses; and/or (3) at least one additional safening compound; which provides a synergistic effect against a broad spectrum of weed species, e.g., in cereal crops and/or reduces crop injuries. The invention also provides a respective method for controlling weeds and/or reducing crop injuries.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for increasing the efficacy of a herbicidal compound of formula (I) which comprises applying an effective amount of said herbicidal compound directly to the soil in the form of a solid granule which contains said herbicidal compound and at least one inert solid carrier. It is another object of this invention to provide solid granular compositions of herbicidal compounds of formula (I) and at least one inert solid carrier, as well as methods for the use of said compositions in the control of weeds.

The present invention provides cereal selective herbicidal compositions comprising a herbicidally acceptable carrier and/or surfactant and, as active ingredient, herbicidally effective amount of at least one 6-phenoxypyrid-2-ylcarboxamide of formula (I) and at least one additional herbicidal compound selected from the group consisting of flufenacet, cinidon-ethyl and carfentrazone-ethyl. Also provided is a method for the control of undesirable plants such as Setaria viridis , Alopecurus myosuroides , Poa annua , Stellaria media , Lamium purpureum , Galium aparine , Veronica hederaefolia , Papaver rhoeas and Matricaria inodora which comprises applying to the plants of their locus a herbicidally effective amount of said compositions. The compositions have been found to possess synergistic properties.
