Abstract: PURPOSE: To protect the surface of a transferred magnetic layer against mechanical damage due to aggregation of foreign matter particles by forming a protective layer of crosslinked polymer matrix containing an inorganic pigment having thickness of 0.2-5.0 μm and surface resistance of 10 -10 Ω/cm. CONSTITUTION: A protective layer of crosslinked polymer matrix containing an inorganic pigment having thickness of 0.2-5.0 μm and surface resistance of 10 -10 Ω/cm is formed on the carrier wheel side surface of a magnetic layer after the carrier wheel is stripped. A surface layer finished to exhibit scratch resistance and antistatic properties can be formed on a part formed of the transfer layer of information carrier.
