Abstract: The appts. simultaneously fixes and magnetises one or several layers of magnetic recording material on to a carrier strip (1). The magnetic recording material is orientated and air dried. The appts. consists of nozzle chambers (11) on either side surrounded by a housing to form an air supply enclosure with slot nozzles (4) directing air onto the surface. Set into the top plate, permanent magnets (7) and non-magnetic strips (9) form a directional magnetic field for particle orientation. ADVANTAGE - Contactless continuous magnetic orientation and air drying avoiding damage to carrier strip and keeping all parts accessible.
