Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain dyed leather having excellent light resistance by treating leather with pigments in the presence of specified alkoxylated amines. CONSTITUTION: The dyed leather having excellent light resistance and fastness is obtained by treating the leather at 20-60 deg.C in the aqueous dye-bath prepared by adding 0.1-5% 20C alkoxylated amine based on the wet weight of the leather. It gives more preferable effect in dyeing to further add 16C alkoxylated alcohol to the dye-bath. As for alkoxylated amine, amines obtained by reacting 15-25C alkyl amine or 12-15C alkylene amine with ethylene oxide and/or propylene oxide are preferably used.
