Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved polymer produced using t-butyl acrylate and/or t-butyl methacrylate as a base and having a wide application range owing to having no odor and used particularly in a cosmetic composition and suitable to be formulated without adding a balm. SOLUTION: This improved polymer can be obtained by radical-polymerizing 30-99 wt.% of t-butyl acrylate and/or t-butyl methacrylate, 1-28 wt.% of acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid and 0-60 wt.% of a radical-copolymerizable monomer or a radical-copolymerizable monomer mixture, wherein the improved polymer is an acrylate polymer having a K value of 10-60. This radical-polymerization is performed in the presence of an alkane thiol having a carbon chain length of C 10 to C 22 , followed by the treatment using hydrogen peroxide, and these acrylate polymers can be used as a film-forming agent and can be applied to cosmetics. The invention relates to a method for producing lipophilic polyalkylene polyamines by homogeneously catalyzed alcohol amination wherein aliphatic alkanolamines are reacted with each other or aliphatic diamines or polyamines are reacted with aliphatic diols or polyols in the presence of a homogeneous catalyst while removing water at least one of the reactants containing an alkyl or alkylene group with five or more carbon atoms and after the reaction a phase separation into at least one unpolar and at least one polar phase can be observed the lipophilic polyalkylene polyamines being enriched in the unpolar phase. The invention further relates to polyalkylene polyamines which can be obtained by said methods and to polyalkylene polyamines which contain hydroxyl groups secondary amines or tertiary amines. The invention finally relates to uses of said polyalkylene polyamines as adhesion promoters in inks adhesion promoters in composite films cohesion promoters in adhesives cross linkers/hardeners for resins primers for paints wet adhesion promoters for dispersion paints complexing agents and flocculants penetration auxiliaries for use in wood preservation corrosion inhibitors and immobilization agents of proteins and enzymes.
