Abstract:
Channel framing includes an elongate body having a longitudinal axis and defining an interior extending along the longitudinal axis. The body includes a first side defining a continuous slot extending lengthwise of the body and into the interior of the body. A second side is generally opposite the first side and defines a fitting groove extending lengthwise of the body. The fitting groove is configured for receiving at least one type of fitting to secure the fitting to the channel framing.
Abstract:
A fitting for use with channel framing including an outer surface and a fitting groove formed in the outer surface includes a base comprising an inner face, an outer face, and sides extending between the inner face and outer face. The base is configured for insertion into the fitting groove of the channel framing. A spring member is mounted on the base and disposed generally above the outer face of the base. The spring member is configured to engage the outer surface of the channel framing when the base is inserted into the fitting groove. The base and the spring member form a clamp for securing the fitting in the fitting groove.
Abstract:
A fitting for connecting first and second pieces of strut to one another includes a coupling component. The coupling component has first and second coupling portions configured for reception in respective fitting grooves of the first and second pieces of strut when the coupling component is in a first orientation. Each of the coupling portions are rotatable within the respective fitting grooves from the first orientation to a second orientation to connect the first and second pieces of strut to one another. An anti-rotation plate is connected to the coupling component. The anti-rotation plate has an unlocked position relative to the coupling component to allow the first and second coupling portions to be received in the respective fitting grooves, and a locked position relative to the coupling component to inhibit rotation of each of the first and second coupling portions from the second orientation to the first orientation.
Abstract:
A beam clamp for securing strut to a beam includes a clamp body having a first strut engagement portion configured for engaging a first attachment structure of a strut, and a second strut engagement portion separate from the first strut engagement portion and configured for engaging a second attachment structure of a strut.
Abstract:
In one aspect, a fitting for connecting first and second pieces of strut to one another, wherein each piece of strut includes an elongate strut body having opposite longitudinal ends, a length extending between the opposite longitudinal ends, and a fitting side defining an external fitting groove extending lengthwise of the body, includes a first clip arm configured to extend into the external fitting groove of the first piece of strut. A second clip arm is configured to extend into the external fitting groove of the second piece of strut. A central portion is connected to and extends between the first and second clip arms. The central portion includes a first dimple configured to receive a tool and a second dimple configured to receive a tool.
