Abstract: The bidet system may include multiple seat scales which may float between the toilet bowl rim and the toilet seat. These seat scales may collect measurements which are transmitted to a controller. The controller may include instructions to calculate a user's center of mass based on the measurements and to identify the position of the user's anus based on the center of mass. The controller may then transmit instructions to a bidet wand directing direct the bidet wand to a position which aims a cleansing fluid spray toward the user's anus. A camera which collects images of the user's anal and urogenital region may also be included in the bidet system. The camera may transmit obfuscated images to the controller to identify other areas of the user's anatomy in need of cleansing. The controller may direct the bidet wand to aim a cleansing fluid spray toward these areas.

Abstract: An excreta-sampling toilet is disclosed which includes a bowl, a processing apparatus, and a chiller. The bowl separates excreta into solid excreta and liquid excreta. The processing apparatus then processes the solid excreta into a solid excreta sample, including metering it by weight or volume and storing it in containers. The chiller lowers the temperature of the sample, which is stored to await analysis. A metered liquid excreta sample is also stored and chilled in separate storage containers.

Abstract: A health condition determination method is disclosed. Analyte samples may be obtained from a medical toilet in individual sessions on a daily basis and analyzed over weeks, months and years. Data collected from these samples is analyzed according to a predetermined target variance. The data is filtered and recursively analyzed inputting additional sample data until the refined measured variance is within the target variance. The determined health condition is then communicated to a health professional.

Abstract: A toilet comprising a rinsing seat, a rimless bowl, and a helical loop trapway is disclosed. An annular cavity for the purpose of storing and dispensing rinse water from the rinsing seat is disclosed. Outlet nozzles arranged about the circumference of the rinsing seat and designed to dispense rinse water at the rimless bowl are disclosed. Rinsing seat supports, hinge assemblies, and seat sensors which offer additional functionality to the rinsing seat are also disclosed. The toilet includes a steep interior surface with a titanium dioxide coating and actuatable ultraviolet light sources. The titanium dioxide has antimicrobial properties in the presence of ultraviolet light to sanitize the toilet. The ultraviolet light source is actuatable to control when the antimicrobial properties of the titanium dioxide coating are activated. The exterior of the toilet is coated with doped titanium dioxide which is antimicrobial in the presence of visible light.

Abstract: A dryer for use with a bidet is disclosed. In one embodiment, a moveable dryer wand emits an air curtain as the dryer wand moves across the bidet bowl beneath the user after cleansing. We further disclose a dryer which produces a second air current which moves air in a different direction than that emitted by the dryer wand and further controls the movement of excess water remaining on a user after cleansing. A dryer that includes moveable dryer wand used in coordination with a moveable bidet wand are also disclosed and claimed herein.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a toilet that includes a slanted fill tube with an optical proximity sensor positioned on or within the inner surface of the fill tube. The optical proximity sensor includes an incoherent light source and a photodiode. The optical proximity sensor as disclosed herein detects small changes in volumes added to a toilet bowl. Consequently, small volumes of excrement that are deposited in the toilet bowl by a user may be detected with greater accuracy. In some embodiments, information about the volume of urine or feces deposited into the toilet bowl is recorded and calculated by a processor. Other sensors, including a toilet bowl water level sensor and a gas sensor may collect data in combination with the optical proximity sensor to provide more complete information about the user's health.

Abstract: The present invention comprises a piston-flush toilet system that may use appreciably less water than commonly used toilets today. Such a piston-flush toilet system may comprise a bowl to accept waste and a chamber comprising a waste inlet connected to the bowl and a waste outlet connected to a sewer system or the like. A piston may be disposed within the chamber capable of sealing the waste inlet.

Abstract: The method uses a device which measures the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) present in headspaces of fluid samples to differentiate between authentic and synthetic urine samples. The method includes the use of a device which includes an array of resistive microchemical sensors. The device may be exposed to samples of synthetic and authentic urine to identify a pattern of VOCs in each, these steps being referred to herein as training the device. The device may then be exposed to a urine sample of unknown authenticity and a pattern of VOCs identified. The pattern of VOCs from the urine sample of unknown authenticity may be compared to those of synthetic and authentic urine. In some embodiments the device is installed in a toilet. The method may be used to identify a false sample provided for a urine analysis intended to screen for use of illicit drugs.

Abstract: The medical toilet includes one or more sensors for measuring hardness of a soft tissue in contact with the sensor. The one or more sensors may be positioned on the toilet seat, toilet lid, or on a foot scale which extends from the base of the medical toilet. The sensors may include durometers, fluid-filled bubbles with pressure sensors on them, or an inflatable tube with pressure sensors on it. The measurements may be transmitted to a controller which may store and analyze the data. Changes in tissue hardness over time may be tracked and reported. The sensors may identify changes in the hardness of skin, adipose tissue, and muscle. These measurements may be useful to identify changes in skin thickness, body fat, muscle tone, tumors and other masses.

The sensor platform may be mounted on a support panel. The support panel may be mounted on a toilet lid. The one or more sensor platforms may be extendable towards a user seated on the toilet. Each sensor may be independently extended so that it is positioned flush against a user's body. The sensor platform array may include bendable arms which reach around a user and place sensors on the ventral side of the user. The sensors may collect measurements which are relevant to the user's health and well-being. In some embodiments, the sensors may be removable and replaceable so that different sensors may be added according to a user's individual needs.
