An electronic device is connected to media aggregating node, which publishes media items from external network media providers, and arranged to select a media rendering unit, comprised in local network environment, by a pointing action and further to select a media item. The electronic device sends information regarding user selected media rendering units and media items to the media aggregating node, which in turns forwards the information to the local network, via a gateway, such that user selected media is rendered on the user selected media rendering unit.

An external network-connected user equipment device is configured to publish user-adapted advertisements in a user-selected media content stream on a user-selected local network user equipment device. The external network-connected user equipment device is located outside the local network and communicates with a media aggregating node as well as with a virtual control node and a media ad-muxer node in the local network, both of which are connected to the media aggregating node.

An external network-connected UE (1) is configured to control external network-media content in a local network-compliant UE (5) from the outside of the local network (7), via a Virtual control node (4) of a local network and a Media aggregating node (2), which both are configured to handle said external network-media content. The external network-connected UE communicates with the Media aggregating node, which, in turn, communicates with the Virtual Control node.

A resource node (2800) has application modules (2810) that are functionally interconnected by an application management proxy node (2840) to one another and/or to application modules (2810) of another resource node (2800) to provide combined functionality to a user. The resource node (2800) includes a plurality of the application modules (2810) and an application agent (2920). Each of the application modules (2810) controls the resource node (2800) to provide corresponding defined functionality. The application agent (2820) communicates with the application management proxy node (2840) to establish functional interconnections between two or more of the application modules (2810) of the resource node (2800) and/or between at least one of the application modules of the resource node (2800) and at least one of the application modules of the other resource node. The application agent (2820) translates communication traffic to provide compatible communications between the application modules that are functionality interconnected. Related application management proxy nodes (2840) and methods are disclosed.

A media muxer node (10) of a local network (7) is configured to time-shift a live media stream, by storing the stream on a local network storage (3) during a pause, and providing the stored and time-shifted stream to a local network-UE (5) after the pause. The pausing and the resuming of the media stream can be initiated from an external network-connected UE (1) outside the local network, or directly from the local network UE (7). The system also comprises a media aggregating node (2) for authentication of the external network - connected UE (1), which are both connected to a virtual control node (4). If a pause in the replay is discovered, the media muxer node (10) sees to the storage of the media in a local network storage (3) until the discovery of a restart command.

Un nodo de multiplexor de medios (10) de una red local (7) se configura para una transmisión de medios en vivo con cambio de tempo, almacenando la transmisión en un almacenamiento de red local (3) durante una pausa y proporcionando la transmisión almacenada y con tiempo cambiado a un UE de red local (5) después de la pausa.
