Abstract: A gasket includes a plurality of compression limiters each including a plastic body having a fastener aperture extending there through and a plurality of flow holes extending there through. An elastomeric body defines a perimeter sealing body molded around the plurality of compression limiters at spaced locations around the perimeter sealing body. The elastomeric body extends through the plurality of flow holes in the plurality of compression limiters.

Abstract: Fire protection materials comprising an endothermic hydrate, an intumescent, a heat resistant fiber and an elastomeric polymer. In various embodiments, endothermic hydrate comprises aluminum trihydrate, the intumescent comprises expandable graphite, and the heat resistant fiber comprises poly(p-phenylene terephthalamide). The elastomeric polymer may be a polyorganosiloxane, such as a phenyl substituted polydimethyl siloxane. Also described are structures comprising such fire protection materials, e.g., separators and other battery containment structures such as for use with high density lithium batteries.
