Abstract: A method assigns categories to electronic messages. Users assign labels to messages received from multiple senders. The user-assigned labels are aggregated into a co-occurrence matrix whose axes correspond to the plurality of senders. Each matrix entry measures the extent to which users have assigned identical user-assigned labels to the pair of senders. Using the co-occurrence matrix, a latent vector is computed for each sender. A user re-categorizes a message received from a first sender, assigning the message to a first category. One or more second senders are identified that are similar to the first sender. Similarity of senders is measured by proximity of the latent vectors corresponding to the senders. One or more second messages are identified from the second senders, and the user is presented with the suggestion to reclassify the second messages under the first category. Upon user confirmation, the second messages are reclassified.

Abstract: A passive infrared sensor having a radiation capture component may be housed within a sensor device. The device may also house radiation emission components, such as light emitting diodes, in proximity to the capture component. Electronic circuitry within the device may generate a signal that causes the emission components to emit radiation that includes wavelengths in the infrared spectrum. The infrared radiation may be captured at the capture component. Characteristics of a signal generated by the capture component may be compared to test characteristics. Based on this comparison, it may be determined that the passive infrared sensor is not operating properly.

Abstract: A system for predicting and summarizing medical events from electronic health records includes a computer memory storing aggregated electronic health records from a multitude of patients of diverse age, health conditions, and demographics including medications, laboratory values, diagnoses, vital signs, and medical notes. The aggregated electronic health records are converted into a single standardized data structure format and ordered arrangement per patient, e.g., into a chronological order. A computer (or computer system) executes one or more deep learning models trained on the aggregated health records to predict one or more future clinical events and summarize pertinent past medical events related to the predicted events on an input electronic health record of a patient having the standardized data structure format and ordered into a chronological order. An electronic device configured with a healthcare provider-facing interface displays the predicted one or more future clinical events and the pertinent past medical events of the patient.

Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for an opening sensor with magnetic field detection. A current magnetic field vector based on a strength and direction of a magnetic field detected by a magnetometer of an opening sensor disposed at an entry point may be received. The current magnetic field vector may be compared to an initial magnetic field vector for the opening sensor. It may be determined that the current magnetic field vector differs from the initial magnetic field vector by a threshold amount or more. A signal may be generated indicating that the opening sensor has been tripped. The opening sensor may include a magnet in a separate housing from a magnetometer sensor comprising the magnetometer. The opening sensor may include a magnetometer unit with a magnet in the same housing as a magnetometer sensor.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for organizing messages. A plurality of messages is communicated to a user with a designation of the message category of each respective message in the plurality of messages. The plurality of messages includes, for each respective message category in a plurality of message categories, at least one message in the respective message category. A user selection of a first message in the plurality of messages is received, whereupon a subset of the plurality of messages similar to the first message is selected based upon respective comparisons of continuous vector representations of (i) a set of words in the first message and (ii) a corresponding set of words in messages in the subset of messages. An identification of each respective message in the subset of messages is then displayed.
