Abstract:
A pool or spa control system includes, a main control panel housing a motherboard, relay bank, and local terminal. The motherboard includes a processor in two-way communication with a relay bank socket via an internal bus. The relay bank is connectable to the relay bank socket and includes a processor, memory, plurality of relays, connector, and an internal bus establishing two-way communication between the relay bank processor and the motherboard processor when the relay bank is connected to the relay bank socket. The local terminal includes a control processor, user interface, and memory, and is in two- way communication with the motherboard processor for allowing user control of the system. The control processor automatically discovers and assigns the relay bank a network address upon connection of the relay bank to the motherboard relay bank socket, and the relay bank returns relay bank parameter information, which the local terminal stores in memory.
Abstract:
Embodiments are directed to underwater lights for attachment to a niche, the niche including a threaded hole. The underwater lights include a light body that defines a flange. The flange includes an elongated slot. The elongated slot is configured and dimensioned to receive a fastening element therethrough for securing the light body to the niche. The underwater lights can include a spacer through which the fastening element is inserted. Tabs of the spacer can be inserted into the elongated slot of the flange. The elongated slot is configured and dimensioned to receive the fastening element therethrough. The threaded hole is configured and dimensioned to receive the fastening element. A position of the light body relative to the niche is adjustable by translating the fastening element within the elongated slot. Embodiments are also directed to underwater light systems and associated methods.
Abstract:
A combined ultraviolet light and ozone fluid sterilization system for sterilizing fluid that includes a removable and replaceable internal reflective sleeve is provided. The sterilization system includes a lower housing, an upper housing, a winged nut, a UV light manifold, a plurality of UV light assemblies, a plurality of UV light securing assembly, and a reflective sleeve. The UV light assemblies include a UV light and an ozone siphon pipe positioned within a quartz casing, which is sealed with an endcap. The ozone siphon pipe of each UV light assembly can be operatively connected with a venturi for introducing ozone into the fluid. The sleeve includes perforated ends which create a more uniform flow within the sleeve, reduce air pockets, normalize the residence time of the fluid molecules, normalize the velocity of the fluid, and increase overall uniformity of treatment.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a system for controlling pool/spa components. More particularly, disclosed is a system for controlling pool/spa components including a display screen and one or more processors presenting a control user interface for display on the display screen, wherein the control user interface includes a home screen comprising a first portion containing a first plurality of buttons and/or controls for controlling a first group of the plurality of pool/spa components associated with a first body of water, and a second portion containing a second plurality of buttons and/or controls for controlling a second group of the plurality of pool/spa components associated with a second body of water.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of determining depreciation of a lumen output of an LED. More particularly, disclosed is a method of determining depreciation of a lumen output of an LED comprising monitoring, by a processing device, an operating characteristic of an AC power source operatively coupled to the LED; determining, by the processing device, whether a lumen output the LED depreciated beyond a specified lumen value based on the monitoring; and causing, by the processing device, an indicator to provide notification to a user based on determining the lumen output of the LED depreciated beyond the specified lumen value.
Abstract:
A light includes a body, a front housing secured to a front end of the body, a translating retainer rotatably engaged with the front housing, a slip ring positioned around the front housing and between the translating member and the front end of the body, a compressible ring positioned around the front housing and between the slip ring and the front end of the body, a lens mounted to the front housing, an electronic assembly, and a light emitting element in electrical communication with the electronic assembly and positioned within the lens. Rotation of the translating retainer in a first direction causes the translating retainer to drive the slip ring toward the front end of the body, compressing the compressible ring and causing the compressible ring to bulge outward to contact, and removably engage, an inner wall of a pipe or conduit that the light is positioned in.

Abstract:
An underwater light having a sealed polymer housing and a method of manufacture are provided. The light includes a rear housing component formed at least in part from a thermally conductive and electrically insulative material, an electronic assembly having at least one light 5 emitting element mounted thereto, the electronic assembly in thermal communication with the rear housing component, and a lens mounted to the rear housing component and forming a watertight seal therebetween, the lens and the rear housing component enclosing the electronic assembly. At least a portion of the rear housing component conducts heat away from the electronic assembly to cool the electronic assembly. Heat-radiating structures are provided on 10 the rear housing component for dissipating heat conducted by the rear housing component. The electronic assembly could be mounted to the rear component by a thermally conductive adhesive. A latch could be provided on the rear housing component or a bezel of the light, and is operable to selectively install or remove the light from an installation location. One or more optical components, such as light culminators, an internal collimator lens, and/or light pipes could be 15 provided for enhanced illumination. An optically-transparent potting compound could be used to encapsulate the at least one light-emitting element and/or the electronic assembly. A cable attachment assembly could also be provided for creating a watertight seal between the rear housing component and the cable, and terminal posts could be included for attaching conductors of the cable to the electronic assembly. 12c 12\ \ 12b 12a1
