Abstract: Eine Momentaufnahme ausgewählter Objekte in einem Quellen-Repository wird als Reaktion auf die benutzergesteuerte Replikation erstellt. Die Momentaufnahme wird zu einem Momentaufnahme-Replikationsjob bestimmt. Der Momentaufnahme-Replikationsjob wird zum Ende einer Replikationswarteschlange hinzugefügt, um die Ausführung für die synchronisierte Objektreplikation zu erwarten. Unsynchronisierte Objekte in einem Bestimmungsziel werden durch Vergleichen eines Zustands der ausgewählten Objekte in der Momentaufnahme mit einem aktuellen Zustand des Bestimmungsziels zur Zeit der Ausführung des Momentaufnahme-Replikationsjobs erkannt. Die unsynchronisierten Objekte im Bestimmungsziel werden auf der Grundlage des Vergleichs des Zustands der ausgewählten Objekte in der Momentaufnahme mit dem aktuellen Zustand des Bestimmungsziels zur Zeit der Ausführung des Momentaufnahme-Replikationsjobs synchronisiert.

Abstract: Bereitgestellt werden beispielhafte Verfahrens-, System-, und Computerprogrammprodukt-Ausführungsformen für eine Ressourcenzuordnung einer Vielzahl von Ressourcen zu einem Doppelaktivitätssystem durch eine Prozessoreinheit. Bei einer lediglich als Beispiel dienenden Ausführungsform kann jede Aktivität mit einer statischen Quote gestartet werden. Die Ressourcengrenze für eine Ressourcenanforderung für mindestens eine doppelte Aktivität kann so lange erhöht werden, bis eine Ressourcenanforderung für eine andere der mindestens einen doppelten Aktivität zurückgewiesen wird. Als Reaktion auf die Zurückweisung der Ressourcenanforderung für die andere der mindestens einen doppelten Aktivität kann eine Ressourcengrenze für mindestens eine doppelte Aktivität herabgesetzt und eine Betriebsart „Warten nach der Herabsetzung” begonnen werden, bis eine momentane Ressourcennutzung kleiner als oder gleich der herabgesetzten Ressourcengrenze ist.

Abstract: For resource allocation of resources for a dual activity system, each of the dual activities may be started at a static quota and is allocated its respective static quota of resources, and determining which of the dual activities is a demanding dual activity. The resource boundary may be increased for a resource request for at least one of the dual activities until a resource request for an alternative one of the at least one of the dual activities is rejected. Abstract: Various embodiments for synchronization of source and replicated instances of sequential access storage components in a computing environment by a processor device are provided. A replication synchronization table (RST) is configured for the source instance. The RST is adapted for recording compacted information for at least one of a truncate and an erase operation applied on the source instance. The RST of the source instance is updated at a source component with the compacted information. The updated RST is transmitted from the source instance to the replicated instance. Based on the RST of the source instance and the RST of the replicated instance, data representative of a most recent position on the source component from which data should be transmitted to a replicated component to achieve a full synchronization is determined.
