Abstract: PURPOSE: To increase reliability in a servo without decreasing a data area, etc., by a method wherein a servo compensation signal is written using a write retrieval area. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of servo areas 50 are radially formed along a radius direction of a disk in a data area 52 on each recording face of the disk, a gray code (a cyclic binary-code) showing an address of a data track is recorded therein corresponding to the data track, and further a burst pattern serving as a signal for positioning for a track of a head is recorded. The track is formed at a specific pitch P in the data track area 52, and a plurality of data are recorded in the track accompanied by an ID being each identifying data. A servo compensation signal area 53 is formed in a position interposed between the data area 52 and the servo area 50. This compensates a servo signal for the servo area and enables an error retrieval when a read error etc., generates in the servo area.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent dispersion in magnetic field distribution by a winding, by forming an angle of a plurality of slots, in an internal surface of a pipe- shaped core to receive a deflecting coil, so as to satisfy a specific condition. CONSTITUTION: A winding slot 4a, 4b, 4f, 4g, 4k, 4l, 4p, 4q, is which an angle θfrom a reference line 8 in a horizontal direction in a surface orthogonal to a pipe axis 6 satisfies the relation 0 deg. θsi when assuming θni for angle formed by the reference line 8 and θsi for this angle is a surface 14 with a line connecting the pipe axis 6 to the center in an axial direction of the winding slot. A widing slot 4c, 4h, 4m, 4r in a region, satisfying θ=45 deg., 135 deg., 225 deg., 315 deg. by the angle θ, is formed so as to satisfy θni=θsi. A slot 4d, 4e, 4i, 4j, 4n, 4o, 4t, in a region satisfying 45 deg.
