    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize keyboard lighting which saves the space and has small power consumption, is usable even by battery driving, and exerts no adverse effect on a display device by irradiating a keyboard with the light emitted by an LED through an opening part. SOLUTION: When a computer 10 is used, a rear cover 105 is opened and stopped at 90 deg. or more and the keyboard 103 is operated while looking at an LCD. The computer 100 is provided internally with an LED holder 150 holding the LED for keyboard lighting and an LED switch 113. An opening part is formed in the bottom of the LED holder 150; and part of the light emitted by the LED is cut off by the bottom part and the rest is emitted out of the LED holder 150 through the opening part. While the rear cover 105 is opened, the LED is turned on by operating the switch 113 to light up the keyboard 103.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To take security measures for an internal electronic device such as a storage device even in the state of detaching a portable computer by providing a key mechanism for locking an install system for portable computer so that the internal electronic device is not detached from its main body. CONSTITUTION: In the state shown by Figure, a propeller 42 is directed vertical, an interlock body 55 is positioned closest to a key mechanism 18 inside a prescribed moving range, and a stopper 50 is released from the interlock body 55 and can be freely moved up and down. When fitting the portable computer to the install device, the stopper 50 is pushed in downward and latched by a latch mechanism 54. At the key position shown by the Figure, the portable computer can be attached and detached and a main body cover can be freely detached. At such a position, however, a key 44 can not be ejected from a key hole 46. When the stopper 50 is pulled out ant the key mechanism 18 exists at the 2nd position, the computer can not be attached/detached, the cover can not be detached, either and the electronic device is protected.

SOLUTION: An aluminum diecasting 28 comprises a right block 30 covering over a CPU package 72, and a left block 31 connected to the right block 30 flush therewith to form a fan mounting space 46. A band-like heat pipe 52 extending straightly is mounted on the backsides of the right and left blocks 30, 31. A copper plate 61 has a first horizontal plate 61 covering and concealing the downside of the right block 30 and the heat pipe 52, and a second horizontal plate 63 facing a second upside 33 in the heightwise direction to define the downside of the fan mounting space 46.
