Abstract:
A system and a method for executing processing such as spreadsheet calculation are provided to realize repetitive processing for plural data easily without making a program. In response to association of one or plural cells within a sheet recording a plurality of input data with a first cell, an input data selection unit(330) sequentially selects each of the plurality of input data as values of the first cell. According as each input data is selected as the value of the first cell, a calculation unit(340) executes a calculation formula set in a cell except the first cell and refers to the first cell. A data output unit(350) outputs the calculation results of the calculation formula, executed by the calculation unit for each input data, as values of one or plural second cells.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable a user to freely set and easily recognize relations among plural windows. CONSTITUTION: A work station 1 consists of a processor 5, a display device 6, a keyboard 7, a mouse 8, etc., and an operating system 2 includes a user interface system 9 which manages the interaction between the display device 6 and a user and information of the mouse cursor. An application program 4 generates a window and sets a view of the window, namely, which attribute of data should be displayed, and further, the program 4 supplies display data to the system 9 to display the window and data. A management table used for automatic control of windows is provided in a window management system, and the user uses the application program 4 through the system 9.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To associate a window with a key input string inputted from a keyboard and to speedily move the focus of the window by using only the keyboard by instructing a mode for designating the window being an operation object by means of the keyboard. SOLUTION: A user instructs the mode for designating the window of the operation object by the keyboard 7. The instruction is executed by depressing a prescribed key on the keyboard 7. Characters which are uniquely allocated to the respective windows are displayed on a display screen in accordance with the respective windows in response to the designation of the mode. It is desirable to automatically allocate the characters to the respective windows. When the window on the screen is fixed, it can previously be decided. Then, the necessary window is selected and the characters can previously be allocated only to the window.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfy both shortening of a period of time required for initial display and shortening a response time in a scroll operation when an application for performing grid display is executed to perform display control. SOLUTION: This system for executing the application includes: a spreadsheet generation part 121 which executes the application for performing the grid display to generate a screen constituted of a set of display elements of cells; and a scroll control part 122 which accepts the scroll operation to the screen displayed on a display device 200 to control scroll of the screen. When a cell to deviate from a visible area displayed on the display device 200 and a cell to newly enter the visible area exist, the scroll control part 122 displays the cell to enter the visible area on the display device 200 by changing an attribute including positional information in a display element used for display of the cell to deviate from the visible area to the content representing the cell to enter the visible area by the scroll operation. PURPOSE: To enable a user to freely and individually set types and positions of plural windows in a display picture or a master window. CONSTITUTION: A table (layout table) 12 where positions and types of plural windows are described is provided. At the time of initialization or the change or the layout table 12, windows and window management modules 10 corresponding to them are generated or replaced in accordance with contents of this layout table 12. Window management modules 10 process user input events in accordance with types and positions and display prescribed information in windows in accordance with user's instructions. The user describes contents of the layout table 12 in an external file or uses a menu presented by a system at the time of system execution to designate the layout information. Thus, the user can freely set positions and types of windows.

PURPOSE: To reduce access to a sequential file and inversion file, and to improve a retrieving speed by operating credit calculation by using only the inversion file. and performing access to only the necessary part of the inversion file by the expected value of the credit. CONSTITUTION: Access to an inverted file 11 is performed in response to the input of inquiry, the data of a file 11 related with inquired key words K1-3 are transferred to a main storage, and a inversion chart 12 is prepared. Next, a sequential chart 13 is prepared by replacing the lines and columns of the inversion chart 12, and the credits of each line are calculated based on the data of the sequential chart and the content of inquiry. Then, the contents of documents are fetched and information is retrieved by performing access to document identifiers D1 and D2 until the upper second class with high credits. Thus, the credits are calculated by using only the inversion file and access to only the necessary part is performed, so that the access can be reduced, and the retrieving processing speed can be improved.
