    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, a device and a method for converting JSP into JSP intrinsic to a PvC device. SOLUTION: A JSP tag is incorporated in an HTML comment tag, the JSP is converted into the JSP intrinsic to the PvC device by converting an HTML tag of the JSP into an HTML tag of a specific PvC device, syntax of the HTML comment tag is analyzed for a comment tag having an incorporated JSP tag, the JSP tag is restored by removing an HTML comment tag ID and the JSP intrinsic to the PvC device is created.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide adaptation with improved contents for a data processing system such as a general computer by decentralizing an adapting function between a 1st and a 2nd data processing system according to information on session specification. SOLUTION: A client-side proxy 54 is used to incorporate the information on session specification in a request to be sent to a server data processing system 60. The client-side proxy 54 communicates with a server-side proxy 64. The server-side proxy 64 controls the decentralization of the adapting function according to user's taste and a policy and a rule which can be held in a center repository 30. The server-side proxy 64 obtains contents provided for the client data processing system 50 from a server application 62. Consequently, the problem of a specific user and the total problem of network management are both considered in the adaptation of the contents provided for the data processing system.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust an HTML page by using an XML-based content adjusting tool by converting a part, which needs to be adjusted, to XML format and masking other parts so that they are not displayed. SOLUTION: The part which is part of a web page and has its contents adjusted is converted from the HTML format to the XML format (B200). Parts of the web page which can not be converted to the XML format or need not have the contents adjusted are masked so that they are invisible (B300). Then the part converted to the XML format is changed by using one or more XML content adjusting tools so that it is displayed on a client device (B400). The modified part of the web page is converted from the XML format to the HTML format (B500) and the masked HTML parts are unmasked (B600).

    Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for selectively encrypting one or more elements of a document using style sheet processing. Disclosed is a policy-driven augmented style sheet processor (e.g. an Extensible Stylesheet Language, or "XSL", processor) that creates a selectively-encrypted document (e.g. an Extensible Markup Language, or "XML", document) carrying key-distribution material, such that by using an augmented document processor (e.g. an augmented XML processing engine), an agent can recover only the information elements for which it is authorized. The Document Type Definition (DTD) or schema associated with a document is modified, such that the DTD or schema specifies a reference to stored security policy to be applied to document elements. Each document element may specify a different security policy, such that the different elements of a single document can be encrypted differently (and, some elements may remain unencrypted). The key distribution material enables a document to be encrypted for decryption by an audience that is unknown at the time of document creation, and enables access to the distinct elements of a single encrypted document to be controlled for multiple users and/or groups of users. In this manner, group collaboration is improved by giving more people easier access to information for which they are authorized, while protecting sensitive data from unauthorized agents. A key recovery technique is also defined, whereby the entire document can be decrypted by an authorized agent regardless of how the different elements were originally encrypted and the access protections which were applied to those elements.
