Abstract: The present invention relates to an independent vessel tank system for storing liquid gas. The system comprises a first tank member (1), a second, cylindrical tank member (2) connected to the first tank member (1) and a third tank member (3) connected to the second tank member (2), where the first, second and third tank members (1, 2, 3) provide a tank device for the liquid gas. A first supporting device (5) is provided between the third tank member (3) and a hull of the vessel, for supporting the weight of the tank device. A second supporting device (4) is at least partially provided along the periphery of the tank device, for supporting the tank device to the hull of the vessel.
