PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory controller and a memory control method for shortening the execution time of a storage operation in a storage medium even when a series of write data having relationship to specific write data are discontinuously temporarily stored in a cache memory. SOLUTION: The memory controller (information storage reproduction device 20) includes: a cache memory 22 for temporarily storing write data to be input from information equipment; a storage reproduction part 24 for storing the temporarily stored write data in a storage medium M; a retrieval extraction part 211 for extracting specific write data from a plurality of write data temporarily stored in the cache memory 22, and for retrieving and extracting a series of write data relating to the specific write data; and a control part 21 for controlling the storage reproduction part 24 to store the extracted series of write data in the storage medium M at once. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately buffer data when data is read or written from/to a recording medium having a large sector size which cannot be recognized by an external apparatus. SOLUTION: A disk drive apparatus 20 includes a disk load unit 25 into which a disk D is loaded, a communication unit 26 which communicates with a PC 10, a RAM 22, and a control unit 21 which, when receiving via the communication unit 26 from the PC 10 a request for reading or writing data of a block corresponding to a second sector size of sectors which are obtained by dividing a sector having a first sector size and can be recognized by the PC 10, calculates the addresses and the number of blocks of the first sector size required for the request, uses the calculated addresses and number of blocks to read the data of the sector having the first sector size from the disk D loaded in the disk load unit 25, and stores the data as buffer data into the RAM 22. SOLUTION: The memory controller includes: a detection part 211 for, when temporarily storing new write data inputted from a PC10 in a cache memory 22, comparing the logical block address(LBA) of the new write data with the logical block address of existing write data temporarily stored in each memory segment of the cache memory 22, and for detecting a common address range whose storage positions are made the same; and a control part 21 for overwriting the new write data corresponding to the detected common address range on the existing write data corresponding to the common address range. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress dispersion of a measurement result, and to suppress cost inexpensively by simplifying a structure.SOLUTION: This measuring device 1 includes: a storage part 2 for storing inspection liquid; a channel part 35 for guiding the inspection liquid from the storage part; a sensor chip 32 having thermal conductivity, for detecting a biochemical substance by sending the inspection liquid guided from the channel part; a thermal conductive part 33 having thermal conductivity, and arranged so as to be in contact with the sensor chip; a temperature adjustment part 34 arranged so as to be in contact with the thermal conductive part, for adjusting a temperature of the thermal conductive part; and a measuring part 4 for measuring a physical property of the biochemical substance from a detection result by the sensor chip. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an external device to recognize the capacity of a recording medium with a large capacity of sector size that the external device cannot recognize. SOLUTION: The disc drive unit 20 includes: a disc mounter 25, which is loaded with a disc D and allows reading from or writing to the loaded disc D in units of sectors each having a first sector size; a communication unit 26 communicating with a PC 10; and a controller 21 calculating a second sector size where the sector with the first sector size corresponding to the loaded disc D is divided and the resulting sector can be recognized by the PC 10, and the final sector address of the second sector size of the disc D, and transmitting the second sector size and the final sector address to the PC 10 via the communication unit 26 when receiving a command for verifying the capacity of the recording medium from the PC 10 via the communication unit 26. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory controller and a memory control method for efficiently operating the reading of read data even when the reading of read data from a storage medium is operated at a sequence mismatching section in a series of read request. SOLUTION: When the number of blocks within a clearance reading range positioned between a reading end address relating to the previously input read request input from information equipment(PC10) and a reading start address included in the read request input this time becomes the same value as the number of blocks which has become the same value continuously several times in response to a plurality of read requests input in the past, the reading of the read data stored in the LBA of a storage medium M corresponding to the clearance reading range is started prior to the reading of the read data relating to the read request input this time.
