    Abstract: PURPOSE: A beam forming array antenna control system and a beam forming method using the same are provided to implement beam forming communication by controlling the number of antenna arrays. CONSTITUTION: A beam radiation control part(110) controls beam radiation for beam searching to each sector region so that the initial beam is transmitted from signal transmission units of predetermined two antennas. A beam receiving part(120) receives response beams corresponding to the beam radiated from the signal transmission unit of each antenna to the sector region. A sector selection part(130) detects a sector corresponding to the response beam having the largest intensity among the response beams received in the beam receiving part and transmits information on the sector to the beam radiation control part, thereby radiating a beam to the optimized sector.
