Abstract:
Provided are a negative electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery which is increased in the capacity per volume, a method for preparing the negative electrode active material, and a lithium secondary battery using the negative electrode active material. A negative electrode active material comprises a plurality of carbon nanotubes which exists in a form of a particle by chemical bonding, and has a pore which is formed uniformly inside the particle. Preferably the particle has a diameter of 10-50 micrometers and an aspect ratio of 0.5-1, has a form of potato, sphere or bead and has a specific surface area of 10 m^2/g or less. Preferably the carbon nanotube has a d200 of 0 nm to 0.34 nm.
