    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the transmittance of a laser beam passing through an aperture to record/reproduce information by a probe type system and a proximate field system. SOLUTION: The structure of an optical information recording/reproducing head is divided into a lower structure constituted of a silicon substrate 21 to lastly become a head holder, and an upper structure formed in a reverse ladder shape where a probe constituted of a number of apertures 25 filled with a nonlinear substance 28 and a metal thin film 27 is formed, and the end of the probe is connected to the lower structure. The upper structure is constituted of a silicon deposited layer 23. A silicon oxide film 22 is formed on a boundary between the lower and upper structures. A number of probes made of metal thin films 27 are formed on the bottom surface of the upper structure. The nonlinear substance 28 buried in the aperture of a reverse ladder structure firmed in the silicon deposited layer 25 in an etching step is partially exposed through the bottom surface of the silicon deposited layer 23 as the upper structure.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a recording speed by locally heating a medium not only by the proximity field light emerging from an opening but by the current induced at the front end of an electrically conductive cantilever thereby recording information in recording the information to the medium. SOLUTION: This device includes a cantilever stage 12, the electrically conductive cantilever 10 which is formed with a proximity field light opening type probe 11 and records the information by locally heating the medium 25 not only by the proximity field light emerging from the proximity field light opening type probe 11 but by the current induced by itself and a photodetector 42 which reproduces the recorded information as the reflectivity of the light emerging from the proximity field light opening type probe 11 or the transmittance to the medium 25.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a micro-integrated probe type head and an optical recording system using the same for recording and reading-out high-density optical information in a near-field optical recording manner. SOLUTION: The provided micro-integrated probe type head and the optical recording system using the same use a concept of a head that records/reproduces the information by focusing a beam to a probe through a waveguide, a microlens, and a micro-mirror, and by detecting a reflected beam. In this case, the probe is formed by a silicon process to have an aperture with a size of tens of nanometers. By driving the head in a disk actuation structure, high- density near-field optical information having a recording size of 50 to 100 nm is recorded/reproduced at a high speed in a manner of possibly using a conventional tracking technology of an optical disk (ODD) or a hard disk drive (HDD).
