Abstract:
An MIMO(Multi-Input Multi-Output) system and a method for demodulating a transmitting vector in the receiver of the system are provided to enable the receiver to detect a transmitting vector on the basis of a transmitting antenna signal of which the modulation order is the lowest, thereby easily detecting the transmitted transmitting vector. A receiver in an MIMO(Multi-Input Multi-Output) system comprises the followings: a first multiplication unit(320) which multiplies a receiving vector(r) received through an antenna; a substitute transmitting vector detecting unit which detects the signal of a transmitting antenna of which the modulation order is the lowest in the receiving vector outputted from a first multiplication unit, creates symbol substitutes as much as the modulation order of the detected signal, and detects a substitute transmitting vector by using each symbol substitute; a transmitting vector determining unit(340) which separately calculates a distance between the substitute transmitting vector and the receiving vector detected in the substitute transmitting vector detecting unit and determines the final transmitting vector; and a demodulation unit(350) which demodulates and outputs the final transmitting vector determined in the transmitting vector determining unit.
Abstract:
A transmitter in an MIMO(Multi-Input Multi-Output) system and a data transmitting method thereof are provided to generate greater performance gain than an existing open loop V-BLAST system because of using a different modulation method and different power by transmitting antennas. A transmitter in an MIMO(Multi-Input Multi-Output) system comprises the followings: a memory(201) which stores a modulation method by antennas and a power allocation coefficient; a modulation unit(202) which separately modulates transmission data according to the modulation method by antennas stored in the memory if the transmission data is inputted; and a power control unit(204) which controls the power of each transmission data modulated in the modulation unit according to the power allocation coefficient by antennas stored in the memory and transmits the transmission data through a corresponding antenna.
Abstract:
A modulation device, a demodulation device and a wireless modem are provided to reduce power consumption during an active mode by disconnecting a driving clock during a standby period. A wireless modem includes a wireless core module(60), a modulator(10), a demodulator(20), a synchronizer(30), and a clock controller(40). The wireless core module transmits and receives wireless signals. The modulator converts data to be transmitted into the wireless signal and delivers the wireless signal to the wireless core module. The demodulator converts the signal from the wireless core module to reception data. The synchronizer adjusts a synchronization of the signal from the wireless core module. The clock controller generates driving clocks for the modulator, demodulator, and the synchronizer.
