Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement Walsh code allocation, so that an amplifier is operated non-linearly and the risk of unwanted interferences can be prevented or minimized, that is a peak/average power ratio can be kept equal to or lower than the allowable level. SOLUTION: In the method for allocating a CDMA code from the set of CDMA codes, to be used together with a wireless communication network, after a step for identifying the desired size of a code to be allocated, this method is provided with a step for determining whether a code of the desired size whose sibling exists. When such a code is discovered, that code is allocated. Otherwise, it is determined whether a code smaller than the desired size whose siblings unavailable. When such a code (a code smaller than the desired size whose sibling is unavailable) is discovered, a descendant thereof having the desired size is allocated.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the calling hand-off by specifying the effectiveness of an adjacent list based on the time stamp that accepts the final updating of the adjacent list of a base station. SOLUTION: A message 55 is effective when a 3rd base station is added to the soft hand-off connection and includes the time stamps of data used for base stations 6 and 7. In this case, it's supposed that the data included in a base station 5 are updated against the station 7. Therefore, a reception confirmation message 60 includes no adjacent list nor time stamp. However, it's supposed that the time stamp T-56 that is transmitted to the station 7 as a segment 56 is larger than a time stamp T-76. At the same time, the station 7 sends an inquiry message 65 including a specific segment 66 that specifies the requests against the base stations to the station 6. An answer message 70 sent from the station 6 includes the updated adjacent list data L-66 on a home base station and also a time stamp T-66 and is sent to the requester station 7.

Abstract: This invention relates to an arrangement for efficiently providing an up to date neighbor list for base stations serving a wireless cellular telecommunications call. The neighbor list is required by a mobile station measuring signal strengths of signals for surrounding base stations in order to locate base stations from which the mobile station can receive strong signals. When one base station receives a revised neighbor list from another base station, it receives a time stamp identifying when that revised neighbor list was created. Thereafter, when a request for data from a base station is transmitted, it is transmitted with that time stamp; no neighbor list is returned if the time stamp matches the time stamp stored with the neighbor list of the base station receiving the request.
