Abstract: Performance testing requires human intervention for accurately setting up a number of machines in order to simulate various load conditions for conducting performance tests. The system and method of the present disclosure addresses this problem by dynamically determining and generating a virtual user environment in the cloud for executing the performance tests. The system includes a validation module (108) for checking pre-determined parameters of a test specification for the performance test; an allocation module (110) for computing and accordingly configuring a number of virtual machines required for conducting the performance test; and a monitoring module (112) for iteratively monitoring usage of the virtual machine resources. The monitoring module (112) also gives feedback to the allocation module (110) to adjust the allocated virtual machines for invoking an optimum number of virtual machines for the performance tests without any human intervention.
